Mission Math provides students with a multitude of opportunities that will help them excel throughout their academic careers.

Ria and Saranya recognize that quality tutoring services can come with a hefty price tag, therefore restricting some students from the support they need. With a commitment to equity in mind, they decided to make Mission Math a premium learning center that is entirely free of cost and is built from expertise, dedication, and a love for learning.

Our Values

History

As an eighth-grade project, Ria Jayanti and Saranya Agrawal developed and led a nine-week math and Spanish tutoring program for fifth graders. Their goal was to create a safe, low-pressure environment that not only prepared students for middle school, but also fostered confidence and inquisitiveness. Ria and Saranya hosted meetings with parents and teachers, sent out surveys, and researched extensively to create a holistic and engaging learning experience. They developed thorough curriculums that exceeded rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) standards and addressed individual student needs.

By building close relationships with their students, Ria and Saranya discovered that school classrooms often fail to address students’ individual needs. However, a motivated tutor can be the difference between one's struggle and success.

Through their personable tutoring, the girls became their students' cheerleaders, mentors, and friends. They were acclaimed by parents and teachers.

At the end of the program, they knew there was still more to be done. With that, Mission Math was born.
